Case Study: Boosting Production Efficiency with JD DTF Solutions in Germany

A German print house, NovaPrint GmbH, upgraded from vinyl and screen printing to JD’s DTF solution using Epson i3200 printers. JD’s inks, PET films, and hot melt powder cut production time per shirt from 7–10 minutes to just 2–3 minutes while boosting daily output from 90 to over 250 garments. The switch also improved wash durability to 40+ cycles, allowing them to accept small, complex orders with no minimum quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between hot-peel and cold-peel film?

Hot-peel film can be removed immediately after pressing, making it ideal for high-speed production. Cold-peel film requires you to let the print cool before peeling, which can result in a smoother surface and more durable finish. JD offers both options and a free peel film that you can remove at any stage, providing flexibility to match different production workflows.

Yes. JD’s DTF PET film is suitable for cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, canvas, and other common textiles. It bonds well with compatible DTF ink and powder, delivering sharp, vibrant transfers on a range of fabrics.

Not if applied correctly. The film is designed to maintain flexibility after curing. Paired with stretchable adhesive powder and pressed at the right temperature, it resists cracking and performs well on stretch fabrics like sportswear and activewear.

Sheets (A4 or A3) are a good fit for desktop printers and smaller runs. Rolls are better for continuous printing and large-format equipment. JD offers both, including custom roll widths to match your machine and production volume.

Yes. The DTF PET film works with most DTF printers, especially those using Epson printheads like XP600, i3200, and DX5. It also performs well with standard water-based DTF inks. We recommend a quick test to fine-tune your print and curing settings.
